I was born in Hannover, Germany and moved to Saudi Arabia in the early seventies with my Saudi husband. Much like Susie, we drove by car, also a Mercedes-Benz to the city of Riyadh.
A few years later, we traveled to the US to study. Our journey started in California and ended at Washington State University where i graduated with bachelor’s degree in English.
Upon returning in Riyadh, in the early eighties, i started working as an english teacher at numerous public high schools in Riyadh. It was challenging and much like Susie, enjoyed it a lot. But 26 years later, i felt there came a need for me to retire and focus on other things.
Today, I have six grown children and one grandson, who was born in Feb 2010. A few months before the book came out.
When I am not traveling with husband, i am either in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia or Long beach, California.
